Alright, so the other day I was messing around and got curious about something kinda random: Brian Scalabrine’s 2K rating. I mean, the “White Mamba,” right? Gotta see what the game thinks of him.

Digging In
First, I fired up my trusty old console. I’ve got a few different versions of NBA 2K, so I figured I’d check out a couple to see if his rating changed over the years.
I started with an older one, I think it was 2K13. Booted it up, went into the roster, and started hunting for Scalabrine. Took a bit of scrolling – I mean, the guy wasn’t exactly a starter, you know?
Finally found him! And…drumroll…his rating was pretty low. I can’t recall the exact number right now, but I’m pretty sure It was something around the high 50s to 60 overall, man. Which, honestly, felt kinda harsh, even if it’s probably realistic.
Checking Out Newer Versions
Then, I jumped over to a newer 2K, I wanna say 2K20 . Figured maybe they’d bumped him up a bit in his later years, maybe given him a bit of a “legend” boost or something.
Nope. Still pretty low! if I remember correctly, and I could be mistaken, it was pretty similar to the older games. I guess 2K’s rating system is pretty consistent, even for bench players.
My Takeaway
It’s not like I expected him to be a 99 overall or anything. But it’s Brian Scalabrine! The White Mamba! The Human Victory Cigar! It’s just funny to see how the game rates a guy who’s become such a cult hero, even if his on-court stats weren’t superstar level.
Honestly, the whole thing made me want to create a custom player, max out all his stats, and call him “Brian Scalabrine 2.0.” Maybe I’ll do that next time I’m bored.
So, yeah, that was my little adventure diving into Brian Scalabrine’s 2K rating. Nothing groundbreaking, but a fun little trip down memory lane. I guess I am just a little curious.
