Alright, so today I spent some time diving into something I’ve been meaning to practice: getting better with The Usos in the game. You know, Jimmy and Jey. I always liked their style, that whole energy they bring, so I figured, why not try and really get their moves down?

Getting Started
First thing, I booted up the console. Waited for everything to load, the usual stuff. Then navigated straight to the WWE game I’ve been playing lately. Took a minute to find the exhibition mode, or whatever they call it now. I just wanted a straightforward match, nothing too fancy.
Naturally, I picked The Usos as my guys. Had to decide who they’d face. I just scrolled through and landed on some other tag team, didn’t really matter who, just needed opponents to practice on. Set it up as a standard tag team match. Keep it simple, right?
In the Ring Practice
Okay, match started. First thing I always enjoy is their entrance. Tried to hit the taunts at the right time, get that “We The Ones” feel going. It kinda sets the mood for playing as them.
Once the bell rang, I focused on the basics:
- Tried out Jey’s quick strikes first. Jabs, kicks. Got a feel for his speed.
- Switched to Jimmy. Did the same, seeing if there were any major differences in how they handled. Felt pretty similar, which is good for consistency.
- Practiced tagging in and out. Tried to make it smooth, like timing it when one guy threw the opponent into our corner. Sometimes messed it up, tagged too early or too late. That needs work.
- Focused heavily on their signature stuff. Lots of superkicks. Tried setting them up different ways.
- Worked on the double-team moves. Getting both guys involved. That coordination is key for tag matches.
- The big one: The Uso Splash. Spent a good chunk of time trying to get the setup right. Knock the opponent down, tag, climb the turnbuckle, and launch. Landing it feels pretty satisfying, gotta say. Missed a few times, jumped right onto the mat. Classic mistake.
Played through a couple of matches this way. Didn’t really care about winning or losing at first, more about just executing the moves and getting the timing down. Lost the first match because I was experimenting too much and got caught. Won the second one, managed to hit a couple of splashes cleanly which felt like progress.
Wrapping Up
So yeah, that was my practice session today. Felt pretty good afterwards. Got a better handle on controlling both Jimmy and Jey, especially working them together as a unit. Still need to nail the tag timing and maybe defense, got reversed quite a bit. But overall, it was a fun way to spend an hour or so, just getting familiar with one of my favorite tag teams in the game. Definitely gonna keep practicing with them. It’s all about repetition, you know?
