Alright, let’s talk about the 4.7 Abyss. This one felt a bit different, gotta say. Soon as it reset, I jumped in to see what mess they cooked up this time.

First Look & Initial Thoughts
First thing I always do is just poke my head into Floor 12. See the lineup. Okay, Chamber 1, got those annoying Coppelia and Coppelius dancers again on one side, then the big robot chicken on the other. Chamber 2, huh, Hydro Tulpa… haven’t seen that in a bit. Other side, Maguu Kenki trio, classic pain. Chamber 3, the usual suspects, those Baptist dudes. Second half… oh boy, the Ruin Serpent. Fun.
My brain immediately started churning. Need some solid single target for the bosses, but also some crowd control or AoE wouldn’t hurt for Kenki trio and maybe the first chamber mobs. Serpent needs range or someone who can hit it reliably when it’s zooming around. Dancers need cryo/pyro or just brute force. Tulpa likes getting smacked hard.
Picking the Teams – First Attempt
So, for the first half (the side with Coppelia/Coppelius, Tulpa, Baptist), I figured I’d go with something reliable. Pulled out my old faithful Neuvillette team. It just works, you know?
- Neuvillette
- Kazuha
- Zhongli
- Fischl (sometimes I use Furina, but wanted electro for this run)
Second half needed something different. Robot chicken, Kenkis, Serpent… Seemed like a job for Alhaitham’s spread team. Good mix of single target and some AoE cleave.
- Alhaitham
- Nahida
- Kuki Shinobu
- Yae Miko (Could use Xingqiu for hyperbloom, but felt like spread today)
The Actual Run – How It Went
Okay, started the run. Floor 12-1, first half: Neuvillette basically washed those dancers away. Pretty smooth. Zhongli’s shield made it comfy. Second half: Alhaitham team did okay against the chicken, broke it down fast enough. Kuki kept everyone alive.
Floor 12-2, first half: Hydro Tulpa. Again, Neuvillette just blasted it. Took a bit longer than expected, maybe my rotation was sloppy, but got it done with plenty of time. Second half: Maguu Kenki trio. This is where things got a bit messy. Alhaitham’s team struggled a bit with grouping them. Yae’s turrets helped cover ground, but I definitely took some hits. Kuki was working overtime. Cleared it, but not super clean.
Floor 12-3, first half: The Baptist. Easy peasy. Neuvillette and Fischl broke its shields quick, then just blasted it down. No issues there. Second half: Ruin Serpent. Ugh. This thing is annoying. Alhaitham struggled to hit it consistently when it was digging or flying around. Yae Miko’s turrets were the real MVP here, hitting it whenever they could. Managed to paralyze it a couple of times with quicken/spread, but it felt scrappy. Finished, but barely got the 3 stars on this chamber.
Reflections & Adjustments (Or Lack Thereof)
So, I got the 36 stars, but that second half felt kinda shaky, especially 12-2-2 and 12-3-2. The Alhaitham team worked, but it wasn’t comfortable against the Kenkis or the Serpent.

Could I optimize? Yeah, probably. Maybe switch Yae Miko for Xingqiu or Yelan in the Alhaitham team for hyperbloom against the Serpent? That might give more consistent damage when it’s flying about. Or maybe swap the teams entirely? Put Neuvillette on the second half? But dealing with the Kenkis with him feels awkward too, even with Kazuha grouping.
Honestly though? I got the primos. It’s done. Sometimes good enough is good enough. I might tinker later if I’m bored, maybe try a mono-pyro team first half just for kicks, or bring out Navia for the Serpent side. But for now, this setup managed to clear it. Took maybe two resets overall, mostly because I messed up rotations or got hit by something stupid on the Kenki floor.
That’s the reality sometimes. You see the enemy lineup, make your best guess based on who you’ve built, and run it. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, you swap things around until it does. This time, my first guess basically got the job done, even if it wasn’t the prettiest clear ever. Job done, moving on.
