My Routine for Snagging HSR Goodies
Okay, so let’s talk about grabbing those freebies in Honkai: Star Rail. You know, the redeem codes they drop every now and then. It’s become a bit of a habit for me, always keeping an eye out and making sure I don’t miss out on some extra Stellar Jade or useful stuff.

Usually, my first step is just checking the usual spots. I often look at the game’s official social media pages – they tend to announce codes there, especially during version updates or special events. Sometimes community forums or fan groups share them too, though I try to stick to official sources first just to be sure they’re legit.
How I Actually Redeem Them (In-Game)
Most of the time, I find it easiest to just redeem the codes right inside the game. Here’s how I do it:
- First, I obviously log into the game on my phone or PC. Gotta be in the game world.
- Then, I tap or click that little phone icon in the top-left corner to open the main menu.
- Next to my Trailblazer name or profile picture, there’s a button with three dots (…). I click on that.
- A small menu pops up, and one of the options is clearly labeled “Redemption Code”. That’s the one I pick.
- A box appears where I can type or, more often, paste the code I found. I always double-check I copied it right.
- Finally, I hit the “Confirm” or “Redeem” button.
- It usually tells me right away if it worked. If it did, I know the rewards will show up in my in-game mailbox pretty quickly. I always make sure to check the mail and claim the items.
The Website Method (Sometimes Handy)
There’s also the option to redeem codes through their official website, which I sometimes use if I’m already browsing on my computer and find a code, or if I’m away from my game install.
The process is pretty similar:
- I head over to the Honkai: Star Rail gift redemption page. It’s easy enough to find via a search engine looking for the official site’s redeem section.
- I need to log in using my HoYoverse account details. Same account I use for the game.
- The site usually asks me to confirm my server (like America, Europe, Asia) and then it automatically shows my character nickname. It’s important to make sure the server and character are correct, especially if you have multiple accounts or play on different servers.
- Then, just like in the game, there’s a field to enter the redeem code. I paste it in there.
- Click the “Redeem” button.
- Again, it should give a success message. And just like the in-game method, I still need to log into the game later and check my mail to actually get the rewards.
Things I Keep in Mind
It’s pretty straightforward, but a couple of things I’ve learned:
Codes expire! Seriously, some codes, especially the ones from livestreams, might only last 24 hours or even less. So, when I see a code, I try to redeem it as soon as I can.
Check for typos. If a code doesn’t work, the first thing I do is double-check if I typed or pasted it correctly. Case sensitivity can sometimes matter too.
It’s a simple process, really. Just finding the codes and remembering to redeem them before they disappear is the main thing. Getting those few extra resources without much effort always feels like a nice little win. Helps fuel the gacha addiction, you know?
