Alright, let’s talk about tackling that Divergent Universe thing. When it first dropped, I just kinda threw my main story team at it. You know, the characters I leveled up the most. Seemed logical, right? Strongest guys should win.

Well, that worked for a bit. On the easy levels, yeah, fine. But hit the harder difficulties? Oof. I was getting absolutely wrecked. Enemies hit harder, had way more health. My usual brute force approach just wasn’t cutting it. I’d get halfway through and then just hit a wall, run over by some ridiculous boss combo.
Trying Stuff Out
So, I figured I had to actually pay attention to those ‘Paths’ everyone was talking about. Seemed complicated at first. I tried the Destruction path, thinking more damage is always good. It was… okay? Sometimes I’d blast through, other times I’d just get unlucky with the power-ups, the Blessings, and die fast. Felt very random.
Then I gave the Hunt path a shot. Speed and hitting single targets hard. Again, kinda worked? But when there were lots of smaller enemies, or bosses that summoned help, I’d get bogged down. It wasn’t consistent for me.
I even tried Preservation. Get super tanky, never die. That definitely helped with survival! But man, the runs took forever. Like, seriously dragging things out. It worked, but it wasn’t fun, felt like a chore.
Figuring Out What Clicked for Me
I was getting pretty frustrated. Then I actually sat down and properly read the Path descriptions again. Saw the one for Elation, talking about follow-up attacks. I remembered I had a couple characters who did that stuff, like Dr. Ratio who I’d recently got, and Topaz kinda helps with that too.
So, I thought, why not? Let’s build around that idea.
- Core Damage: I put Dr. Ratio and Topaz together. Their attacks trigger off each other, especially with the Elation blessings.
- Support Crew: Needed someone to keep them alive and maybe boost their damage. At first, I used my old reliable healer, Natasha, and maybe Tingyun for energy. It was better, but still a bit shaky sometimes.
- The Upgrade: Later on, I managed to get Fu Xuan. Man, what a difference. Suddenly, nobody was dying. She keeps everyone safe and even adds some Crit Rate. Huge improvement. I also swapped Tingyun for Ruan Mei when I pulled her. Her buffs just work so well with dual damage dealers like Ratio and Topaz, and the Break Efficiency helps a ton.
My Go-To Setup Now
So now, my go-to team for Divergent Universe is pretty much set:
Dr. Ratio + Topaz + Ruan Mei + Fu Xuan

And I always pick the Path of Elation. The key is grabbing as many Elation Blessings as possible. There are a few really powerful ones that make your follow-up attacks just go completely wild, hitting everything all the time. When you get a good run with those Blessings, it feels like cheating, honestly. Everything just melts.
Took a lot of trial and error, getting wiped out, and switching folks around. But this setup? It just clicks for me. Makes the whole thing way less annoying and actually kinda fun when the combos start popping off. This is what I found works best after banging my head against it for a while.
