Alright, so, 2027 NFL draft class, huh? It’s still super early, but I’m already digging in. Gotta get ahead of the curve, you know?
First thing I did was hit up all the usual spots. ESPN, Bleacher Report, a few draft-specific websites I’ve bookmarked over the years. Just trying to get a feel for who the early buzz is around. Who are the guys already on the radar?
Then, I started making a list. Quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers – everyone. Just names. It was a mess, honestly. I needed to organize it somehow.
Next, I decided to focus on the quarterbacks. That’s where the big money is, right? I watched some highlight reels on YouTube. You gotta take those with a grain of salt, of course, but it’s a start. See who can sling it, who looks mobile, stuff like that.
After that, I started digging into the stats. High school stats, whatever I could find. Again, it’s early, so the sample size is small. But you can still get a sense of their potential. Are they putting up big numbers? Leading their team to wins?
I even tried to find some game film. That’s the real gold. You get to see how they react under pressure, how they read defenses, their decision-making. It’s time-consuming, but worth it.
Then, I started comparing the guys. Who’s got the stronger arm? Who’s more accurate? Who’s a better leader? I made a spreadsheet, just to keep everything straight.
I’m still early in the process, but I’ve got a good foundation. I’ll keep watching film, reading reports, and updating my rankings as I learn more. It’s a long road to the 2027 draft, but I’m excited to see how these guys develop.
Here’s the super rough initial list of QBs I’m keeping an eye on (no order):

- Jake Thompson
- Carlos Hernandez
- Devon Miller
- Ryan Davis
I’ll share more details as I dive deeper into their profiles. Stay tuned!
