Okay, here’s my attempt at sharing my “alabama quarterback 2023” practice, just like a real, down-to-earth blogger would.

Alright folks, let’s talk ‘Bama quarterbacks from ’23. It was a wild ride, lemme tell ya.
So, going into the season, everyone was asking, “Who’s gonna be the guy?” We had Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson, and even some buzz around Eli Holstein. I remember thinking, “Man, this could be a repeat of the QB battles of old!”
First few games, Milroe got the nod. He’s got the arm, no doubt, and can run like a deer. But the consistency? That was the big question mark. I watched those early games, and you could see the potential, but also the growing pains.
Then came the Texas game… Oof. Tough one. Milroe struggled, and the offense just couldn’t get going. I remember thinking, “Okay, maybe it’s Ty Simpson’s time to shine.”
But Coach Saban, being the legend he is, stuck with Milroe. And you know what? The kid responded. He started making better decisions, the throws were more accurate, and the offense started clicking. I was like, “Alright, Milroe, you’re proving me wrong!”
The turnaround was HUGE. I mean, you saw the confidence build week after week. He started using his legs more effectively, too, extending plays and making defenses pay. I started really digging into the film, watching how he was reading defenses and making pre-snap adjustments.
There were still some hiccups, sure. No quarterback is perfect. But the growth from the beginning of the season to the end was undeniable. I spent hours breaking down his film, looking at his progression reads, his footwork, everything. It was fascinating to watch him develop.
And the Iron Bowl? Forget about it! That was a statement game. Milroe led the Tide to a huge win against Auburn, and you could just feel the momentum building. I was screaming at the TV, I’m not gonna lie!

Look, was it a perfect season for Milroe? No way. But he showed grit, determination, and a whole lotta improvement. He earned that starting spot, and he led Alabama to the Playoff. Gotta give the kid credit.
Now, looking ahead, what about 2024? With Coach Saban retired and a new coaching staff coming in, who knows what’s gonna happen?
Plus, I saw someone mention something about Keelon Russell Simpson being the guy in 2025? Gotta keep an eye on that situation too.
Anyway, that’s my take on the ‘Bama QB situation from ’23. It was a rollercoaster, but a fun one to watch. Roll Tide!
