Figuring Out Missing Overwatch Coins
Okay, so the other day I ran into a bit of a headache with Overwatch 2. Fired up the game, ready to maybe grab that new skin I’d been eyeing, and bam – my Overwatch Coins balance looked wrong. Like, way lower than I remembered. Or maybe even zero when I knew I had some, or just bought some. It’s that moment where you’re like, “Wait, what?”

First thing I did, pretty standard stuff, was just quit the game completely. Shut it right down. Then relaunched it. Sometimes things just glitch out visually, you know? Logged back in. Nope, still showing the wrong amount. Okay, step two.
I figured maybe it was the * client acting up. So, I closed Overwatch 2 again, and this time I fully exited the * launcher. Made sure it wasn’t just minimized, but actually closed. Waited a minute, then started * back up, and launched Overwatch 2 from there. Still no luck. The coin count was stubbornly stuck.
Alright, time to think a bit harder. Did I just buy these coins? I checked my email for a receipt from Blizzard or my payment provider. Found the confirmation, yeah, the purchase definitely went through. So the money was spent, but the coins weren’t showing up in the game.
At this point, I started thinking maybe there’s just a delay. Server lag, things needing to sync up, especially if I just bought them or maybe earned some through a challenge I just completed. I decided to give it some time. Played a few matches, logged off, did something else for a couple of hours.
- Checked back later that evening. Still nothing.
- Tried logging in the next morning. Coins still missing.
Okay, patience wasn’t the solution this time. I did a quick look online, just searching “Overwatch coins not showing up” to see if maybe there was a big server issue everyone was having. Saw a few posts here and there, some old, some new. No big outage reported, but seemed like I wasn’t totally alone experiencing this at some point or another.
My next thought was maybe it was a platform thing? I mostly play on PC, but I do have it linked to my console account too. Though the coins are supposed to be shared now, I logged into the console version just to be absolutely sure. Same deal. Coins weren’t there either. Worth a check, though.
Getting serious now. Went to the Blizzard support website. Navigated through the menus – Overwatch 2, In-game issues, Payments, Missing currency, something like that. Found the option to submit a ticket.
I wrote out what happened: told them my coin balance was wrong, when I first noticed it, mentioned I had recently bought some coins (and had the receipt). Attached a screenshot of my current balance in-game, just for good measure. Submitted the ticket and prepared to wait. Support tickets usually take a bit.

Got an automated reply first, then a day or so later, a real response. They said they were looking into it. Then, maybe another day later, I logged in, and poof! The coins were there. Finally. They sent another message saying they’d refreshed my balance or fixed something on their end.
So yeah, it was a bit of a runaround. Started with simple restarts, checked my purchase history, waited a bit, checked different platforms, and finally had to contact support. Took a couple of days, but they sorted it out. If you run into this, definitely try the basic stuff first, but don’t hesitate to put in a support ticket if they don’t show up after a day or two, especially if you paid real money for them.
