Okay, so I needed to check the Chiefs box score the other day. I was completely swamped with some stuff around the house, totally missed watching the game live, which almost never happens. You know how it is, sometimes life just gets in the way. Anyway, the game was over, and I was itching to see how things actually played out, beyond just knowing the final score.

First thing I did was grab my phone. It’s usually the quickest way, right? I popped open my favorite sports app – the one I’ve used for years. Sometimes it’s a bit slow to update right after a game, but it’s familiar. I typed “Chiefs” into the search bar. Pretty straightforward.
The app immediately pulled up the recent game. It showed the final score right at the top, big and bold. Saw that, felt a little relief (or maybe disappointment, depending on the week, haha). But I needed the details, the actual box score.
Digging into the Details
I tapped on the game summary. That took me to the main screen with tabs for plays, stats, etc. I specifically looked for the “Box Score” or sometimes it’s called “Game Stats” tab. Found it. Had to scroll down a bit past the scoring summary.
There it was. All the numbers laid out. I usually check a few key things right away:
- Passing Yards: Had to see how Mahomes did. Looked for his name, scanned across to yards, TDs, and interceptions. Always hold my breath a little on the INTs.
- Rushing Yards: Checked Pacheco’s stats, see if the ground game got going.
- Receiving Leaders: Usually look for Kelce first, then see who else stepped up. Rice? Hardman? Always curious.
- Defensive Stuff: Sometimes I glance at tackles or sacks, see if anyone had a monster game on D.
I spent a few minutes just scanning through it all. Saw who scored the touchdowns, looked at the total yards for both teams, turnovers – that’s always a big one. It’s not like watching the game, obviously, but the box score tells its own story. You see the big plays reflected in the numbers, who carried the load.
It was pretty easy this time. The app had everything clearly laid out. No weird menus or anything. Got the info I needed pretty quickly, satisfied that itch to know what went down. Now I just need to make sure I don’t miss the next game!
