My Journey with Rickie Fowler Hats
So, I started seeing Rickie Fowler on TV, you know, playing golf. And honestly, the thing that kept catching my eye wasn’t just his swing, it was those hats he always wears. Mostly PUMA, usually pretty bold. I kinda liked the look, especially those flat brim ones he seemed to favor for a long time.

I got curious. Thought maybe I’d grab one myself. Seemed like a cool, casual look, even off the golf course. So, I started looking around. My first thought was just hitting up the usual online spots where you buy sports gear.
Finding Them Was Pretty Easy
Turns out, finding PUMA hats, specifically the ones styled like Rickie’s, wasn’t too tough. PUMA’s got a big golf section. I spent some time clicking through different styles. There were the classic curved brims, but I was really zeroed in on those flat brims, the ones that look more like a snapback.
- Checked the main PUMA site first.
- Looked at big golf retail websites too.
- Compared prices and color options.
I decided to pull the trigger on a pretty standard one first. I think it was just a solid color, maybe navy or black, with the PUMA cat logo and maybe a small ‘P’ logo that he sometimes has. Didn’t want to go full bright orange on the first try, you know?
Getting and Wearing the Hat
The hat arrived pretty quick. First impression? It felt well-made. Good materials, solid stitching. You know, PUMA gear is usually decent quality, and this felt right.
I popped it on. The fit was good. Most of these hats are adjustable, usually snapbacks, so getting the right size wasn’t really an issue. The flat brim took a little getting used to visually, since I mostly wore curved brims before, but I liked it. It felt sturdy, like it wouldn’t lose its shape easily.
Wearing it Out
Started wearing it casually. To the store, running errands, sometimes just hanging out outside. It’s comfortable. Doesn’t feel too heavy or too hot, which is good. It definitely has that specific golfer style, but it works fine as just a regular hat too.

Over time, I actually picked up another one, maybe a grey one. I saw Rickie wearing different versions, sometimes with unique patterns or logos for specific tournaments, but I stuck to the more basic PUMA ones you can readily buy. They just work. They look sharp, they’re comfy, and they hold up pretty well.
So yeah, that’s basically my experience. Started by seeing them on TV, got curious, bought one, liked it, and now it’s just a regular part of my hat rotation. Simple as that. They’re good hats.
