Well, if ya don’t know about Matt Olson, let me tell ya a bit ’bout him. He’s the first baseman for the Atlanta Braves, a fella who’s been hittin’ them balls real good for years now. But today, we ain’t talkin’ ’bout his playin’ skills, no, we gonna talk ’bout his family, ’cause that’s somethin’ people care ’bout too.
Now, Matt Olson married his gal, Nicole Olson, back in November 2021. They tied the knot after bein’ together for quite a while. Nicole, she’s a Georgia gal, born right there in Johns Creek, Georgia, on June 18. Her folks, Martin and Jackie Hiller Kidder, raised her up nice and proper. They say Nicole and Matt met while they were both goin’ to school at the University of Georgia. I reckon that’s where things got started between them two. Ain’t that just sweet? College love, turns into a lifetime thing, just like that!
Matt and Nicole, they make a real fine couple, I gotta say. She ain’t just sittin’ back though, she’s been by his side through thick and thin, and now they’re expectin’ their first little one. Yep, that’s right, on Father’s Day, they announced they’re gonna be parents! They’re havin’ a baby boy, and the first kiddo is gonna have a little brother soon, sometime in December. Ain’t that somethin’ to look forward to, huh? Family growin’ bigger, new life comin’ into the world.
Now, you gotta know a bit ‘bout Matt’s folks too. His mom and dad, Scott and Lee Olson, well, they raised him up in the ol’ town. And if you didn’t know, Matt ain’t the only one in the family with a talent for baseball. His brother, Zach Olson, he was into baseball too! But I reckon Matt’s the one who really took off with it, playin’ in the big leagues now, representin’ Atlanta in a big way.
What’s funny, though, is that Matt and his wife, Nicole, they ended up in Atlanta, after a while. You see, Matt got his start out west with Oakland, but then he came back to Atlanta where he and Nicole set up their life. I reckon that’s a good place to raise a family, ain’t it? Nice and busy but still has that feel of home.
Now, y’all might be wonderin’ if Matt Olson’s got any other family comin’ into the picture. Well, with that little one on the way, I reckon that’s gonna be enough for now. But who knows? As they say, families grow and change, and with their lives so public, we might see more little ones runnin’ ’round soon enough.
As of now, they’re just enjoyin’ this chapter of their life. Their life in Atlanta’s treatin’ ’em good, they’re makin’ memories, and lookin’ forward to that baby comin’ this winter. Ain’t it somethin’ to think about how a man can hit them baseballs all day, but when he’s home, he’s just a husband and soon-to-be daddy, ready to start the next part of his life with the woman he loves? Life sure is full of surprises, ain’t it?
So, that’s a little peek into Matt Olson’s family life. He might be a big name in baseball, but he’s also just a fella tryin’ to raise a family with his wife. Ain’t that the sweetest thing?
