My neighbor’s boy, he follows all this football stuff, said Di Maria, he’s thinking about going to that Inter Miami. Says he ain’t made up his mind yet, though. That’s what this young fella, Romano, said. He seems to know all the football news.
They say Di Maria played in that Paris place before. Big city, I reckon. Must be bigger than our town. He and Messi, they played together for Argentina, won some big game. They’re good buddies, those two.
Inter Miami, they got a new place they’re building. Big park, they call it Miami Freedom Park. Gonna have a big stadium for the football, and a park for folks to walk around. Gonna be real nice when it’s done, they say it will take time, be done in 2025.

Lots of folks talking about Di Maria going to Inter Miami. They put all sorts of things on that internet, you know? All these young folks with their phones, always looking at something. They like that Di Maria, think he’s a good player.

They say football is big in America now. More and more folks watching it. Used to be all about that baseball and their kind of football, with the helmets and all. But now, they like our kind of football, too.
This Miami Freedom Park, sounds like a fancy place. Hope they got good seats for folks to sit in. My old bones can’t stand for too long these days. And I hope the food is good, not just those fancy little things. A good hot dog, that’s what you need at a football game!
That Di Maria, he’s got a big decision to make. Go to America, play with Messi, or stay where he is. It’s a long way to America. But they say it’s nice there, especially in Miami. Lots of sunshine, they say.

All these teams, they got such funny names. Inter Miami, what does that even mean? In my day, teams had names you could understand. Like, the “Tigers” and the “Bears”. Now, it’s all these fancy names.
They say this Miami Freedom Park is gonna be real modern. Lots of fancy stuff. Hope they don’t forget about the regular folks, though. Not everyone likes all that fancy stuff. Some folks just want a good seat, a good view of the game, and maybe a beer.
Well, we’ll see what that Di Maria decides to do. It’s his life, his choice. If he goes to Inter Miami, good for him. If he stays where he is, that’s fine, too. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that matters, you know. Playing football should be fun for him.
Maybe one day I can get a chance to go to the Inter Miami. It will be great to watch Di Maria and Messi play. If that happens, I will ask my neighbor’s boy to come with me. He understands all these rules better than me. He will tell me everything about Di Maria, Messi and Inter Miami.
