You know what? That Scottie Scheffler, he sure can hit that little white ball far. My grandson, he watches all them golf fellas on TV. He told me all about this Scottie’s driver, that special stick he uses. Said it’s got a special part, somethin’ called a shaft. Now, I don’t know much about these fancy golf things, but I reckon if it helps him whack that ball, it must be somethin’ special.
This Scottie Scheffler driver shaft, they say it’s custom. Like, made just for him. Ain’t that somethin’? It ain’t like buyin’ somethin’ from the store, I reckon. They probably got all them fancy machines and whatnot to make it just right for him. They call it TaylorMade Qi10. Sounds like some sorta space thing to me. They say he got it at 8 degrees, and I don’t know what that means, but they make it sound important. These young folks and their fancy words…
My grandson, he can talk about this golf stuff all day. He said Scottie is a “professional golfer.” Makes a living hitting that little ball around. Imagine that! Back in my day, we worked in the fields. Didn’t have time for no golf. But this Scottie, he’s good at it. Real good. I seen him on the TV, and he’s got a swing like nothin’ I ever seen.
And it ain’t just the driver, neither. He’s got all sorts of these clubs. Different ones for different shots, I guess. Like how we used to have different tools for different jobs on the farm. He’s got these other things called “irons.” They got names like Srixon and TaylorMade. Sounds like names of them fancy cars them rich folks drive. They say he got these clubs called “irons”, Srixon somethin’ or other. And they got different numbers on ’em, like 3, 4, 5, all the way up. I don’t know what it all means, but it sure sounds complicated.
- That Scottie, he’s got all these special clubs.
- Scottie Scheffler driver shaft is special, made just for him.
- He’s a professional, makes money playin’ golf!
- He uses TaylorMade Qi10 driver. What is that?
- Got these irons, too, Srixon and TaylorMade.
He got numbers on them irons, too. Like that one, that Srixon ZU85, that’s a number 3. Then he got a number 4, and then these TaylorMade P-7TW, that’s for 5 all the way to somethin’ called “PW.” Don’t ask me what that means. And they all got these shafts, too, just like the driver. Different kinds, with names longer than my arm. Nippon Pro Modus3 Hybrid Tour X, True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100. Just a bunch of gibberish, if you ask me.
Now, this other fella, this Rahm fella, he’s another one of them golfers. My grandson was tellin’ me about him, too. He’s got a different kind of shaft in his driver. Somethin’ called Aldila Tour Green ATX 75 2.8 TX. Don’t know what that is, but it sounds fancy. And he sticks with it, even when he gets a new driver head. They talk about these driver heads like they’re changin’ hats or somethin’.
I seen them sellin’ all sorts of things on that there eBay. They say 75 out of 100 big stores are on there. You can probably find all these fancy golf things on there, too. Maybe even that Scottie Scheffler driver shaft. If you’re into that sort of thing. I still think it’s all a bit much, all this fuss over hitting a little ball around. But I guess if it makes ’em happy, who am I to judge?
This golfin’ stuff, it’s a whole different world. All these fancy names and numbers. Scottie Scheffler, TaylorMade, Srixon, Aldila… It’s enough to make your head spin. But I guess that’s what the young folks are into these days. They got their computers and their TVs and their golf. It’s all beyond me. I’ll just stick to my garden. That’s somethin’ I understand.
This whole Scottie Scheffler driver shaft thing, it’s just one part of it. He’s got all them other clubs, too. And each one of them is probably just as complicated. It’s a lot to keep track of. But I guess if you’re a professional golfer like Scottie, you gotta know all that stuff. It’s your job, after all.
They say this Scottie fella is one of the best. I guess that special driver and those special irons and all them Scottie Scheffler driver shaft things help him do it. It’s a lot of work, I reckon, even if it is just a game. But he seems to be doin’ all right for himself. Good for him, I say. He found somethin’ he’s good at, and he’s makin’ a livin’ doin’ it. Can’t fault him for that. And I guess if that custom shaft helps him do it, then more power to him. He seems like a nice enough young man on the TV, anyway.
