He used to wear them Nike shoes, you know, the ones with the swoosh. But now he’s got his own thing, calls it Rublo. Fancy name, ain’t it? Like some angel wings, I heard them say.
But that boy, he’s smart. He’s got his own clothes now, that Rublo stuff. It’s not Nike anymore, no sir. He’s makin’ his own way, that Andrey. Good for him, I say. He is not afraid, he’s young, but he knows what he is doing.
Andrey and His Own Brand
He started wearin’ them new shoes, them K-Swiss ones, when he was playin’ on that red dirt. They call it clay, fancy folks do. But it’s just red dirt to me. And now, I reckon he’s got a deal with that K-Swiss company, for the cloth, for the shoes. You know, he wear the Rublo cloth and K-Swiss shoes. They pay him good money, I bet.
They say he’s No. 8 in the whole world now, that Andrey. Can you believe it? No. 8! He’s come a long way, that boy. He used to wear Nike, like I said. Now he’s got Rublo and K-Swiss. Two brands! And I heard he has some deal with Italian guys. Italian, yeah, I know where is Italy.

He’s on the TV all the time now, playin’ that ball game. They call it tennis. He hits that little yellow ball over the net, back and forth, back and forth. He’s real good at it, though. Best in the world, almost.
Andrey’s Style, Not Just Nike
And you know what else? He’s got style, that Andrey. Not just them Rublo clothes and them K-Swiss shoes. Oh no, he’s got more. He wears that Bulgari watch, like I said. It’s a real expensive one, I heard. Costs more than my whole house, probably!
He used to play with them Wilson rackets, you know, the ones with the big W on ’em. But now he’s got them Head ones. I guess Head paid him more money. That’s how it goes, I reckon. You go where the money is, especially the young people.
But that Rublo brand, that’s his own. He made that himself, I heard. He’s not just a pretty face, that Andrey. He’s got brains, too. He’s a good boy, makin’ his own clothes, makin’ his own way. I’m proud of him, even though I don’t know him. Never met him, no. But I seen him on the TV, and I’m proud of him.
He’s a good example, that Andrey. Work hard, make your own way, don’t rely on nobody else. That’s what he’s doin’. He is not afraid of work, he is not afraid of trying new things. More Than Just Tennis Clothes
And he’s all over the magazines, too, not just the TV. They like his style, them city folks. They like them Rublo clothes. They think he’s cool, that Andrey. And he is, I guess. He’s a good-lookin’ boy, ain’t he?
They say fashion is important. I don’t know much about that. I wear the same dress every day. But for them young folks, it’s important. And Andrey, he’s got it. He’s got that fashion sense. That is why people like him. Because of the fashion.
He’s makin’ a name for himself, that Andrey. Not just in that ball game, but in the fashion world, too. He’s smart, like I said. He knows what he’s doin’. He’s got a plan, that boy. And it’s workin’ out real good for him, it seems. Good for him, like I said.
