Well, that Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, them two boys, they sure are somethin’ else. I seen ’em play, and let me tell ya, they got a fire in ’em. That Holliday boy, he’s just a young’un, but he’s got that look in his eye. Like he knows he’s gonna be somethin’ special. And Gunnar, he plays like he’s got somethin’ to prove, every single time.
That Jackson Holliday, they say he’s gonna be Rookie of the Year. Well, I ain’t surprised one bit. You watch him, he’s got that natural talent. Like he was born to play ball. Reminds me of my cousin Earl, always was good at catchin’ frogs down by the creek. Just had a knack for it. This Holliday boy, he’s got that same knack for baseball.
Gunnar Henderson, He’s a Strong One
Now, that Gunnar Henderson, he’s built like a brick outhouse. Strong as an ox, that one. He hits that ball, and it goes a mile. Reminds me of my old man, used to chop wood like nobody’s business. Gunnar, he’s got that same power in his swing. And he’s fast, too. Faster than a greased piglet at the county fair.
They play together, those two. Like two peas in a pod. Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, you watch ’em. They understand each other out there on that field. Like they can read each other’s minds. My old man and his brother, they were like that when they were young. Always knew what the other one was gonna do.
- Jackson Holliday, he’s the young one.
- Gunnar Henderson, he’s the strong one.
- They play good together.
- They’re gonna be big stars, those two.
They are saying that Gunnar Henderson is talking to that young Jackson Holliday. Telling him to just be happy with how good he is. Well, yeah! He should be! Some folks are sayin’ that Holliday ain’t been doing too good lately. But, he is just startin’! He is just a baby! He will be good.
Them Orioles, They Got Something Special
Them Orioles, they got somethin’ special with these two. I tell ya, it’s like they found a four-leaf clover, times two! Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, they’re gonna bring that team up. Just like my prize-winning rooster, he brought all the hens up in their layin’. These boys, they’re gonna bring up the whole team’s game.
I remember one time, my neighbor’s dog, he got loose. That dog, he was a fast one. But he wasn’t smart. Just ran around like crazy. These boys, Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, they’re fast, but they’re smart, too. They know what they’re doin’. That makes all the difference. They got that agent, what’s his name? Scott somethin’. He is talking a lot about them boys.
This Jackson Holliday kid, he might be the one to watch. Even more than Gunnar Henderson. But you never know. Baseball’s a funny game. Like my old mule, Bessie. Some days she’d plow the whole field, other days she’d just stand there and stare at ya. You just never know what you’re gonna get. But I got a feelin’ about these two. A good feelin’.
Baseball is a tough game
Yep, that Jackson Holliday they say is special, but there are other boys out there. That Carter and Langford, they are good, too. And some boy named Caminero. There are lots of good players, like how there are lots of good taters in a sack, but you gotta pick the best ones to make a good stew. The Orioles, they picked good ones.
These two, Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, they’re like a good stew. They got all the right ingredients. They just need some time to simmer. And when they do, they’re gonna be somethin’ to behold. Just like my grandma’s famous apple pie. Took her years to get it just right. But once she did, it was the best pie in the whole county.
I seen a lot of baseball in my day. And I tell ya, these two, Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, they got that “it” factor. They’re gonna be stars. Big stars. You just wait and see. They are like two good seeds. You plant them, water them, give them some sun. They will grow up big and strong. They are good for them Rare Birds, them Orioles.
You mark my words, Gunnar Henderson and Jackson Holliday, they’re gonna be a force to be reckoned with. They’re gonna make that Orioles team shine. Just like a fresh coat of paint on an old barn. They’re gonna make everyone sit up and take notice. You just wait and see. They got it in them. I can feel it in my bones.
