Man, let me tell you about my recent obsession with this LA Knight guy in WWE. It all started a few months back when I was flipping through channels and landed on a SmackDown episode. This dude comes out, and the crowd goes wild. I’m talking about a reaction like the old days, like Stone Cold Steve Austin wild. I was like, “Who the heck is this guy?”
So, I started watching him every week. This guy, LA Knight, he’s got this charisma, this swagger that just sucks you in. He starts talking, cutting these promos, and it’s pure gold. He’s got this catchphrase, “Let me talk to ya!” and the whole arena shouts it with him. It’s infectious! Plus, the guy looks like he was built in a lab to be a pro wrestler. He reminds me of the wrestlers from back in the day, you know, the Attitude Era.
I got hooked, and I had to know more. I went down the rabbit hole, looking up everything about him. Turns out, as of this year, 2024, the guy is doing pretty well for himself. I saw somewhere that he is worth about 3 million dollars. Not bad for a guy who’s making around 150,000 dollars a year from his WWE salary, not to mention what he gets from endorsements.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. I started following all the wrestling news sites and social media, and it seemed like everyone was talking about LA Knight. There was all this buzz, this feeling that he was on the verge of something huge. Fans were getting pumped, expecting him to win big matches, like this Money in the Bank thing I read about. But it didn’t happen. I saw dates like September 8, 2023, and people were just not happy.
Then there were some news, I don’t know how true it is, maybe from Xero News, or something, saying WWE had plans for him, but they were waiting. Waiting for what, I had no idea. People were getting mad, like, “Why are they holding him back?” I saw dates like July 22 and 23, 2023, and August 3, 2023, and people were just talking about WWE’s plans for the guy. This waiting game went on, and let me tell you, it was frustrating. I even saw people talking about it on April 5, 2024.
But then, boom! He wins the United States Championship. The crowd went nuts, I went nuts, it was awesome! He’s holding the title, defending it on SmackDown. Finally, it felt like they were giving him the push he deserved. You see all these posts online, “LA Knight is still your United States Champion!” It’s like everyone is celebrating with him.
I’ve been following his journey ever since. Every match, every promo, I’m there. It’s been a rollercoaster, from those early days of wondering if they’d ever give him a real shot, to now, where he’s a champion. It just goes to show, sometimes the fans are right. This guy is money, and I’m glad WWE finally realized it. YEAH!
