Okay, so, today I messed around with a crossword puzzle. The clue was “joined forces,” and let me tell you, it took me a while to figure it out. Crosswords aren’t usually my thing, but I gave it a shot.

Narrowing it Down
Since I had a few letters already filled in from other clues, I could eliminate some of the suggested answers. The word had to be six letters long and the second letter was “L”. That helped me rule out a lot of the longer options.
After looking through more lists, I started to focus on the six-letter answers that seemed most common. “ALLIED” was definitely a popular suggestion. I also noticed “UNITED” a lot but it did not fit since the second letter was “L”.
