Okay, so I was looking for something to kill time, and I stumbled upon this “like legends crossword” thing. I’d never really done one of these before, but I figured, why not give it a shot?
First, I googled “like legends crossword” to see what would pop up. I found a bunch of websites that claimed to have the answers. They all showed different solutions, like “ARTHURIAN,” and some even had a whole list of 30 or 40 possible answers. Seemed a little overwhelming at first.
I picked one of the sites that said it had the solution for the “American quick crossword.” I clicked around a bit, trying to understand how this whole crossword thing worked. They had these clues, like “Like some early legends,” and you had to figure out the word that fit. There were also those crossword dictionaries which I’d never heard of. It took me some time to figure it out. They’ve got this section where you can check the answers based on the clues.
Then I read somewhere that a good strategy is to start with the fill-in-the-blank clues because they’re usually easier. So, I scanned through the clues on my crossword and spotted a few that looked simple enough. It took some time to figure out.
- I tried filling in those first, and it actually helped. I felt like I was making some progress.
- I went back to the crossword solver sites a few times when I got stuck on a clue.
- I typed in the clue, and it gave me some possible answers. Sometimes, it was the right one, and sometimes it wasn’t.
I spent a good chunk of the afternoon working on this crossword. It was definitely more challenging than I expected, but also kind of fun. I’m not gonna lie, there were a few times I wanted to throw my phone across the room, but I stuck with it. And guess what? I finally finished the whole thing!
I wouldn’t say I’m a crossword expert now, but I definitely learned a thing or two. Maybe I’ll try another one sometime. But for now, I’m pretty proud of myself for conquering this “like legends” puzzle. It was a good way to kill time.
