Hey everyone, it’s your boy back with another story from my digging around the internet days. Today, we’re talking about Fahmarr McElrathbey. I was watching this movie, “Safety,” and it got me thinking, “Did this guy make it to the NFL?” So, I started my usual deep dive to get to the bottom of it.
First thing I did was hit up my good old search engine. I typed in “Fahmarr McElrathbey NFL team,” and guess what? Turns out, the guy never played in the NFL. Yeah, I know, kinda surprising, right? But his brother, Ray Ray McElrathbey, now he did play college ball.
So, I dug a little deeper into Ray Ray’s story. Turns out, Ray Ray played for Clemson University. I found this out just by reading through some articles. He was there from 2005 to 2007. It was mentioned in some article that he was a safety. That’s why the movie is called “Safety.” Makes sense now, huh?
But here’s where it gets a bit sad. Clemson didn’t renew Ray Ray’s scholarship for his junior year. Man, that must have been rough. He said it himself, it left him “traumatized.” I can only imagine how tough that must have been, especially since he said he was not ready. It’s like, you’re young, you’re playing college football, and then boom, it’s all gone. He said he didn’t understand what was happening to him. Rough stuff.
Then I wanted to see what these brothers are up to now. So I did a bit more searching. From what I found, Ray Ray is 34 and Fahmarr is 35. They’re running a foundation together called the “Ray Safety Net Foundation.” It seems like they’re doing some good work, helping families and all that. I found out they do it with the help of their mother. It said their mother has been drug-free for a while now. That’s some good stuff they are doing, it is nice to see families come together like that.
Here’s what I learned from my little investigation:
- Fahmarr McElrathbey did not play in the NFL.
- His brother, Ray Ray McElrathbey, played for Clemson University as a safety from 2005 to 2007.
- Ray Ray’s scholarship wasn’t renewed, which was a tough time for him.
- Now, the brothers run the Ray Safety Net Foundation, helping families in need.
So yeah, that’s the story of the McElrathbey brothers. It’s a reminder that not every football story ends in the NFL, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a story worth telling. These guys are doing good things off the field, and that’s pretty cool if you ask me. Anyway, that’s all for today’s story. Catch you guys later!
