So, I’ve been following WWE for a while now, and like everyone else, I always get curious about who’s coming and going in the company. Today, I wanted to dig into the whole “who did WWE release” thing in 2024. It’s always a bit of a shock when you hear about someone getting let go, you know?
First, I started by just doing a broad search online. Just typed in “WWE releases 2024” into the search bar and checked out what popped up. There were a bunch of articles and forum discussions, but nothing super clear or organized. It was a lot of, “I heard this person might be gone,” or “Did you see so-and-so is off the roster page?” Real messy stuff.
Then, I decided to go straight to some of the wrestling news sites I usually trust. I figured they’d have the most accurate info, or at least they usually do. I spent a good hour or so just reading through their articles. They had some names, but it still felt incomplete. Like, they’d mention a few big names but leave out some of the lesser-known folks.
- Gable Steveson: This one was a bummer. I thought he had a lot of potential.
- Baron Corbin: A former United States Champion.
- Indi Hartwell: She was just a NXT Women’s Champion.
- Tegan Nox: In both “NXT” and main roster.
After that, I thought, “Why not check out some fan forums?” Maybe the hardcore fans would have some inside scoop or at least more details. So, I dove into a few forums where people were talking about this. There was a lot of speculation, some rumors, and a few names that the news sites hadn’t mentioned.
Finally, I tried to piece it all together. I made a list of all the names I found from the news sites and the forums, and I compared them. Some names were on both, some were only on one or the other. It was a bit of a headache, honestly. I was hoping to have a nice, clean list, but it ended up being more of an “educated guess” kind of situation.
In the end, I realized that getting a 100% accurate list of WWE releases is tougher than it looks. The company doesn’t always announce every single one, and sometimes news comes out in bits and pieces. So, for now, I’ve got a list that I think is mostly right, but I’m sure there will be more updates as the year goes on. It’s a never-ending story, I guess!
Reflections
This whole process taught me that even in the age of information, it’s still tricky to get the full picture sometimes. You gotta dig, compare, and even then, you might not get the whole truth. But hey, it was a fun little research project, and I’m sure I’ll be doing it again next time there’s a round of releases!
