Hey guys, so, I’ve been waiting for this game, EA Sports College Football 25, for like, forever. I mean, it’s been a whole decade since they last came out with a college football game. Finally, July 19 is the magic date. That’s when this game is supposed to drop. I got myself all hyped up and ready to go.
So, first things first, I needed to figure out how much space this bad boy was gonna take up on my console. I started by checking out the game’s details. It says it’s going to be 27 GB for PS5 and 32.4 GB for Xbox. I thought, “Okay, not too bad,” but then I remembered Madden 25 is like, 51.73 GB. That’s almost double! It got me thinking, “What am I gonna have to delete to make room for this?”
I have a PS5, so I dove into my storage settings. Man, I had a bunch of games I hadn’t touched in ages. I started clearing out some of the older stuff I knew I wasn’t going to play anytime soon. It was kind of a pain, but I kept telling myself it was worth it for College Football 25.
After moving a few games to my external drive and deleting a couple more, I managed to free up about 60 GB. I figured that should be more than enough. I even double-checked the system requirements for the game on my console, just to be sure. I saw a similar post online but decided not to click on it. I felt like I was in a good spot.
Next, I pre-ordered the game. I know some people don’t like pre-ordering, but I was too excited to wait. Plus, I wanted to make sure I could start playing the moment it launched. I went through the whole process, entered my payment details, and hit confirm. Boom, pre-order complete! It means I can play it on July 19th.
With the space cleared and the pre-order in, I started getting into the game’s features. I read somewhere that they brought back the single-player campaign, which is awesome. You can choose to be a 5-, 4-, or 3-star player. It is gonna make the game super immersive. I’m really looking forward to diving into that and seeing how it all plays out.
I watched a few gameplay videos and, gotta say, it looks sick. The graphics are insane, and it seems like they’ve really nailed the college football vibe. It’s definitely got that realistic feel, which is what I’ve been missing. I can tell it is going to be a huge hit with both new players and old-timers like me. And the size of it, in terms of space required is reasonable to me.
Now, all that’s left is to wait for July 19. I’ve got my snacks ready, my schedule cleared, and I’m counting down the days. I’ll probably spend the next few weeks watching more videos and reading up on strategies. Maybe I’ll even practice a bit with some older football games to get back into the groove.
So, to wrap it up, here’s what I did:
- Checked the game size: 27 GB for PS5, 32.4 GB for Xbox.
- Cleared up space on my PS5: Deleted and moved games to free up about 60 GB.
- Pre-ordered the game: Secured my copy for the July 19 launch.
- Got hyped about the features: Excited for the single-player campaign and realistic gameplay.
- Prepared for launch day: Snacks, schedule, and strategy – all set!
I’m beyond stoked for this game, and I think it’s gonna be worth all the effort. I’ll keep you guys posted once I actually get to play it. Until then, let the countdown begin!
