So, I’ve been digging into this whole “Shin Megami Tensei” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. I started playing around with these games, and oh boy, it is something.
First off, I got into “Persona 5”, you know, with that Joker guy. The story got me hooked right away – a dude convicted of something he didn’t even do. I spent hours playing, and it’s cool how it ties into the bigger “Shin Megami Tensei” world. They call it “SMT” for short, which I think is pretty neat.
Then I moved on to “Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance”. This one’s a bit different. You’re running around, fighting demons and angels. I found out that one of the strongest demons is Metatron. Apparently, nothing in the game can really stand up to its attacks, which is insane! I mean, I was using it and just crushing everything. It was awesome. The game uses this thing called the “Press-Turn” battle system. It sounds complicated but it is actually quite easy to get it. You need to take advantage of your enemies’ weaknesses. It’s all about strategy, which I dig.
I learned that these games are super tough. I read somewhere that “SMT3” is one of the hardest games ever, especially on the PS2. People were saying it’s the most challenging one in the whole series. I haven’t tried it yet, but now I’m kind of scared, haha!
Also, I found out that your choices in “Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance” actually matter. Not like, a ton, but they change your character’s vibe. But honestly, they don’t change most of the game, which is a bummer. I was hoping for something more, you know?
- Tried “Persona 5”, got hooked by Joker’s story.
- Played “Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance”, loved using Metatron.
- Learned about the “Press-Turn” battle system. It’s all about strategy.
- Read that “SMT3” is super hard, now I’m kinda scared to try it.
- Found out choices in “Vengeance” matter a bit, but not a lot.
I was also wondering why there aren’t any main characters who are girls in these games. Seems like a missed opportunity, right? And apparently, “Persona” is way more popular now than “SMT”. Some people think “SMT” is more interesting, but I guess it’s just not as mainstream.
So yeah, that’s my journey into the world of “Shin Megami Tensei” so far. It’s been a mix of fun, frustration, and a whole lot of learning. I am definitely going to play some more. There are so many games of this series and I want to try them all!
