Okay, so, let me tell you about this thing I did the other day. It was about setting up a leaderboard for something called the “Creator Classic Golf” tournament. I had heard it was happening, and it sounded pretty cool, so I decided to dive in and see what it was all about.
First, I looked up what this “Creator Classic” even was. Turns out, it’s a golf tournament that happened before the PGA Tour Championship. It’s not your usual golf thing – it’s got these online golf content creators playing. That got me interested, so I got involved.
I read that there were going to be 16 of these creators playing on a nine-hole course. The place was called East Lake, which apparently had just been fixed up. I thought, “Why not make a leaderboard for this?” It seemed like a fun project, and I could follow along with the tournament.
So, I started putting together this leaderboard. I made a simple layout, nothing too fancy. I listed the names of the 16 content creators who were going to play. One of them was this guy named Luke Kwon, who used to play college golf. He caught my eye because he ended up winning the whole thing with a birdie on the last hole.
I decided to track their scores hole by hole. The tournament was just eight holes of stroke play, which means they count every shot. I didn’t have any fancy tools, but I managed to keep track of each player’s score as the information came out.
Here’s how I set up my basic leaderboard:
- Player Name
- Hole 1
- Hole 2
- Hole 3
- Hole 4
- Hole 5
- Hole 6
- Hole 7
- Hole 8
- Total Score
I made sure to include some of the big names from the online golf world that I recognized, like Good Good and Bryan Bros. As the scores came in, I filled in the numbers under each hole column for each player.
After all eight holes were played, I added up the scores for each player to get their total. It was pretty cool to see it all come together. Luke Kwon ended up on top, which was neat since I had read about him before.
Putting It All Together
In the end, I had this nice little leaderboard that showed how each of these content creators did in the Creator Classic. It was a simple project, but I felt pretty good about it. I got to see some interesting golf, learned about these online personalities, and even made something useful out of it.
It wasn’t anything super official, just my own little project to follow along with the tournament. But hey, it was fun, and I thought I’d share how I went about doing it. Maybe next year, I’ll do it again and make it even better!
