So, I’ve been pretty hyped about the release of College Football 25. I mean, who hasn’t? It’s been a long time coming. Anyway, I finally got around to checking out how much space this bad boy was going to take up on my console.
First, I headed over to the PlayStation Store to see the details for the PS5 version. I found out it’s gonna need around 27 GB. Not too shabby, but I figured it might change. You know how these things go – updates and all that jazz.
Then, I switched my attention to the Xbox Series X version. The store listed it at 32.4 GB. I guessed that’s probably because of the higher resolution textures or something along those lines, but who knows for sure.
Here’s a little breakdown of what I found:
- PS5: Around 27 GB.
- Xbox Series X: Around 32.4 GB.
I wasn’t too surprised by these numbers. I knew it would be a decent chunk of space, but not crazy big. But, like I said before, I fully expect these sizes to grow. I bet we’ll see a bunch of patches and updates after the game launches on July 19th. They always gotta fix bugs and tweak things, right?
I also remembered hearing somewhere that this game isn’t gonna be available on PS4 or Xbox One. Which makes sense, I guess. They probably wanted to make it look as good as possible on the newer consoles. And no PC version either, bummer.
Anyways, to wrap this up, I would definitely recommend making sure you’ve got enough free space on your console. I’d say aim for at least 30 GB, just to be safe. You don’t want to be stuck deleting stuff at the last minute when you could be playing the game. I did pre-order the Deluxe Edition already. So excited about it!
That’s all for now. Just wanted to share my little investigation with y’all. Let me know if you found anything different!
