Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Zay Flowers guy in my dynasty league, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I snagged him up because, well, the Ravens’ passing game seemed like it was about to blow up, and I wanted a piece of that action.
First off, I started digging into his stats from last year. Dude finished as WR30, which isn’t too shabby for a rookie. But what really caught my eye was his performance in the last seven games. He was averaging 15.3 fantasy points per game. I thought that’s a good signal.
So, I started watching some of his game tape. This kid’s got some serious skills. He’s a great route runner, super quick, and he’s got that “go up and get it” mentality when the ball’s in the air. Plus, he’s a beast after the catch. I saw a bunch of those screen passes they ran for him, and he just turned them into big gains every time.
Then I did my favorite part, I started thinking about trades. I was looking at other second-year wide receivers, and honestly, I felt like Zay had the highest upside. I mean, with the way the Ravens’ offense is trending, he’s in a perfect spot to explode. He already looked like a WR1 at the end of last season, and I think he’s only going to get better.
After watching some games and doing some research. I used that “Who Should I Draft” tool, and it kept spitting out Zay’s name over some other guys I was considering. That was all the confirmation I needed.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Watched a ton of his highlights. Seriously, the guy’s electric. I did this after work.
- Compared his stats to other receivers. I spent a good chunk of my Sunday afternoon on this one.
- Started floating some trade offers. I’m trying to see if anyone in my league is sleeping on him. I throwed the offers at night when I am in bed.
- Used that draft tool thingy. It’s like having a little fantasy football cheat sheet. I printed the analysis it generated and took it to work.
Right now, I’m feeling pretty good about Zay Flowers. I think he’s going to be a stud in this league. It took some time but I’m feeling confident now, and I’m excited to see what he does this season. I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on him and probably making some more moves based on how he performs. This whole thing has been a fun little project, and I’m hoping it pays off big time in my dynasty league.
