Okay, so I wanted to get in touch with Harold Varner III, the golfer, for a possible online thing I’m setting up. You know, see if he’d be up for it, maybe talk about his game, share some tips – that kind of stuff. It was a long shot, but hey, you gotta try, right?
First thing I did was hit up Google. Typed in “Harold Varner III contact” or something like that. Bunch of stuff came up, but nothing really concrete. I learned he’s on the PGA tour, which I already knew, and saw some of his stats. It wasn’t helping me much in reaching him, though.
Then, I stumbled upon some websites, apparently, these are speaker booking agencies. They had names like “All American Speakers Bureau” and stuff. Sounded kinda formal. These sites claimed they could connect you with different celebrities, including athletes, for speaking events and endorsements. I figured, well, this might be a way to reach out to Varner’s agent or management team.
I saw a couple of phone numbers thrown around, like 888.550.6672 and 800-916-6008. These seemed to be general lines for these booking agencies. I jotted them down, thinking I might give them a call if all else failed.
I dug a bit deeper and found one site that specifically mentioned they could provide contact details for Harold Varner III’s agent. I don’t know if it’s just a scam, but I gave it a shot.
- Clicked around the site, found a contact form.
- Filled in my details, explained what I was looking for – a brief online collaboration with Varner.
- Hit send, and that was that.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, these athletes are probably super busy, and who am I, right? Just some guy with an idea. But, I figured it was worth a shot. Maybe his agent would see my message and think it was interesting. You never know.
Then I tried another way, which is to call those booking agents. I dialed the first number, 888.550.6672, and waited. A lady picked up, sounded professional, asked me who I was looking for. I told her Harold Varner III, explained briefly about my online project idea.
She put me on hold for a bit, came back and said she’d connect me to someone who handles sports personalities. Another hold, then a guy picked up. We went through the same drill. He took down my information, said he’d look into it, and get back to me. Sounded a bit more promising, but still, I wasn’t holding my breath.
Waiting Game
So, now I’m in the waiting phase. I’ve sent out that form, made a call, and all I can do is hope for the best. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, to be honest. Part of me thinks it’s a total long shot, but then another part is like, “Hey, maybe it’ll work out.”
I checked my email every few hours, no luck yet. Even glanced at my spam folder, just in case. Nothing. Maybe I’ll give it a few days, see if that guy from the booking agency calls back.
In the meantime, I’m keeping myself busy with other stuff. Can’t put all my eggs in one basket, you know? But yeah, that’s where I’m at with this Harold Varner III thing. It’s a bit of a waiting game, but who knows, maybe something cool will come out of it. Fingers crossed!
Surprise! I finally got a reply. His agent said he might be interested in my project, and they will arrange a time to meet with me. That is so great!
Finally, we met and had a discussion. He is such a nice person, and I am so glad to have this opportunity to talk with him and make this collaboration happen.
Well, that is all I want to share today. See you next time!
