Okay, so I got curious the other day about how much this guy Matt Jones makes. You know, the football player turned sports commentator? I mean, he’s all over the place – radio, podcasts, and whatever else. Figured he must be pulling in some decent cash, right?
First, I started digging around for his football career earnings. Found out he had a 2-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal was, get this, $1,510,000 in total, which averages out to about $755,000 a year. Not too shabby for a couple of years of work, right? I saw some other stuff saying his total career earnings are somewhere around $17,330,499, averaging out to like $1,155,367 per year. That’s some serious dough!
But, of course, that’s just the football money. He’s not playing anymore, so I had to figure out how much he’s making now. I came across something that said a radio host in Kentucky, where he’s based, makes around $50,000 a year on average. But Matt Jones? He’s a big name. I doubt he’s settling for that. He has got to be raking in way more, given his popularity.
Then I started thinking about YouTube. He’s got a channel, and those YouTube guys can make bank, right? I know nothing about it. I just found some online tools called “YouTube Money Calculator” that estimate your potential earnings. These tools guess your earnings based on views and something called CPM, which is probably a metric for how many views. I didn’t dive too deep into that rabbit hole, but it’s safe to say that if he’s got a lot of subscribers and views, he could be making some good money there, too.
My Rough Estimate
- Football Career: We already know he made some good money playing football, probably in the millions.
- Radio/Podcast: Given his fame, I’d guess he’s making way above the average $50,000 for a Kentucky radio host. Maybe double or triple that? Or maybe even ten times! Who knows?
- YouTube: This is a wild card. If he’s popular there, he could be adding a nice chunk of change to his income.
- Other Ventures: Plus he has got an agent, this Mitchell Butler guy, so he’s probably got other stuff going on that I don’t even know about. Who knows what deals he’s making behind the scenes?
All in all, it’s hard to say exactly how much Matt Jones makes. But I realized he’s got his fingers in a lot of different pies. One thing’s for sure, though, he’s definitely not hurting for money. Good for him, I guess! He’s living the dream. Anyway, just wanted to share my little investigation with you all. What do you guys think?
