Alright, so, I wanted to dive into this “Submarine Pitchers MLB The Show 24” thing. First off, I booted up the game, you know, the usual. Got into the main menu and started poking around. I figured the best place to start was probably the “Create-A-Player” mode, so I clicked on that.
Once I was in, I created a new pitcher. Now, this is where it got interesting. I went through the standard options, like choosing his name, appearance, and all that jazz. But then I hit the “Pitching Style” section. This is the crucial part.
- I scrolled through the different styles, you know, overhand, sidearm, and there it was – submarine.
- I selected it, and man, it looked funky.
- The pitcher’s arm angle dropped way down, almost scraping the ground.
I finished up creating my pitcher and decided to test him out in an exhibition game. I picked a team and started playing. When my submarine pitcher came up to bat, it was a whole different ballgame, literally.
Throwing pitches was weird. The release point was so low, and the ball seemed to rise up to the batter. I tried a few different pitches, like a fastball, slider, and even a changeup. They all had this weird upward movement. It felt like I was bowling, but, you know, with a baseball.
The batters seemed to struggle with it, at least initially. They were swinging and missing a lot. I guess the unusual trajectory threw them off. I managed to strike out a few guys, which was pretty satisfying.
What Did I Learn?
This whole submarine pitcher thing is definitely a trip. It’s not something you see every day in baseball, and it sure as heck isn’t common in the game. It’s a cool little quirk that can really mess with batters. I can see why some people dig it. It’s a challenge, but it’s also fun to try and master. Also I tried to use him in the Road to the Show mode. It was a fantastic experience. I will try more times in the future.
So, yeah, that’s my experience messing around with submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 24. It’s a neat feature and definitely worth checking out if you’re into that sort of thing.
