Okay, so I was scrolling through Instagram the other day, and I saw this post about Michelle Wie, the golfer. I’ve always been a fan of hers, ever since she was a kid tearing it up on the course. But the post wasn’t about golf, it was about her husband. I was like, “Wait, Michelle Wie is married?”
So I clicked on the profile, and it led me to a bunch of articles about her and this guy, Jonnie West. Apparently, he’s a big deal with the Golden State Warriors, the basketball team. I had no idea! I always thought of Michelle as this young golf prodigy, and now she’s married to a basketball exec. Time flies, right?
I started digging a little deeper. I went to Google and typed in “Michelle Wie husband”. Man, there were tons of articles about them! I learned that Jonnie West is the Director of Basketball Operations for the Warriors. That’s a pretty big job. And get this – his dad is Jerry West, the NBA legend! The guy on the NBA logo! I was so surprised about this fact!
I spent the next hour or so just reading about them. They seem like a really cool couple. I found some pictures of them together, and they look really happy. I saw that they got married in 2019 and had a baby girl in 2020. Her name is Makenna, and she’s adorable.

It’s just wild to me how much you can learn from a simple Instagram post. I went from just seeing a picture of Michelle Wie to finding out all about her husband, her family, and her life off the golf course. The internet is a crazy place, you know? Now, I’m even more of a Michelle Wie fan. It’s awesome to see her doing so well, both in her career and her personal life. And I gotta say, her husband seems like a pretty cool dude, too. I just felt like sharing this, I don’t know it just made my day a little bit more interesting. Anyway, that was my little internet adventure for the day. I guess you never know what you’re going to stumble upon online!
