Okay, so I decided to do a little digging into Notre Dame’s football schedule for 2024. You know, just to see what kind of season we might be in for. Let me tell you, it’s going to be a wild ride!
First off, I pulled up the official schedule from their website. Gotta go straight to the source, right? Then, I started looking at each game individually. I mean, you can’t just glance at the schedule and know what’s up. You gotta do some research!
So, I went team by team. I checked out their records from last season, looked at any big changes they made in the offseason, and even read some sports articles to get expert opinions. It was a lot of clicking around and reading, to be honest, but pretty interesting.
Here’s What I Found
- August 31: The season opener against Texas A&M. Now, they’re a tough team, no doubt, I saw their recent games. It’s gonna be a real test for Notre Dame right out of the gate. This one had me sweating a little, not gonna lie.
- September 7: Northern Illinois. A must win game.
- September 14: At Purdue. It’s an away game, which always adds a little extra pressure. Purdue’s decent, but Notre Dame should be able to handle them, I think.
- September 21: Miami (OH). Another home game, another must win, I mean we have to see them perform on home field.
- September 28: Louisville. I remember watching a few of their games last season, and they’ve got some real talent. I feel this one could go either way, to be honest.
- October 12: Stanford. Hopefully a win here.
- October 19: Georgia Tech (in Atlanta). Playing in Atlanta could be tricky. Georgia Tech’s not exactly a powerhouse, but playing them away is something to look at.
- October 26: vs. Navy (in East Rutherford, NJ). Navy always plays hard, no matter what. It’s gonna be a grind-it-out kind of game.
- November 9: Florida State. Now, this is the big one. Florida State is looking like a real contender this year. It’s at home, which is good, but it’s gonna be a huge challenge. My heart rate definitely went up when I saw this one on the schedule.
- November 16: Virginia. Should be a win.
- November 23: Army (in Bronx, NY). Another rivalry game, that we need to see.
- November 30: At USC. Ending the season with a rivalry game? Always tough, always intense. Especially on the road. USC is always tough, so this one will be a real nail-biter.
After all that digging, I made some notes, jotted down some predictions, and thought about the season as a whole. It’s a tough schedule, for sure. Lots of strong opponents, some tricky away games, and a couple of real nail-biters in there.
Honestly, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. It’s going to be a rollercoaster of a season, but that’s what makes college football so great, right? I’ll definitely be watching every game, that’s for sure. Go Irish!
