Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a Bray Wyatt tattoo for a while now. He’s one of my all-time favorite wrestlers, and his character work is just amazing. I finally decided to go for it, and I thought I’d share my experience here.
First, I spent a ton of time looking at pictures of Bray’s tattoos. The guy has some seriously cool ink, especially his “Fiend” face paint design and that crazy moth tattoo on his chest. I wanted something that captured the vibe of his character but was also unique to me.
Finding the Right Design
I started by sketching some ideas. I’m no artist, but it helped me figure out what I liked. I played around with the moth idea, maybe adding some of his symbols like the lantern or the fireflies. I also considered something based on the “Let Me In” phrase, maybe with some creepy font or something. I had a hard time drawing up stuff, man I wish I was good at drawing.
After a bunch of rough sketches, I decided to look for a tattoo artist who specializes in the kind of dark, surreal style that Bray’s tattoos have. I found a few artists in my city who looked promising, and I checked out their portfolios online.
Choosing the Tattoo Artist
- I looked for someone who had done similar work before, like dark, detailed pieces with a bit of a horror vibe.
- I read reviews from other clients to see if they were happy with the artist’s work and professionalism.
- I made sure the shop had a good reputation for cleanliness and safety. This is important, people!
Finally, I picked an artist whose work I really loved. I booked a consultation with her, and we talked about my ideas. She was super cool and really understood what I was going for. We brainstormed together, and she came up with a design that combined elements of the moth, the fireflies, and the “Let Me In” phrase in a really unique way.
Getting Inked
The day of the appointment, I was pretty nervous, not gonna lie. But the artist was really chill and made me feel comfortable. She showed me the final design, and I loved it. It was even better than I had imagined!
The actual tattooing process took a few hours. It wasn’t too painful, just a bit uncomfortable in some spots. We took a few breaks, and the artist checked in with me regularly to make sure I was doing okay. She also gave me a tutorial on aftercare and such.
When it was finished, I was blown away. The tattoo looked incredible! It was exactly what I had hoped for, and it captured the spirit of Bray Wyatt’s character perfectly. I was so happy with how it turned out that I gave her a large tip.
It’s been a few weeks now, and the tattoo has healed nicely. I’m still super stoked about it. It’s a great reminder of one of my favorite wrestlers and a piece of art that I’ll cherish forever. The aftercare was a lot of work, but worth it.
