Well, let me tell ya, if ya been watchin’ football long enough, you might’ve noticed a feller named Saquon Barkley. Now, he ain’t no stranger to folks who follow the New York Giants or even them Philadelphia Eagles these days. But lemme tell ya, somethin’ about him and them Cowboys, well, it ain’t been a pretty picture. This Barkley, he’s been around for a good few seasons, but them Cowboys just don’t seem to care for him too much.
In all his time with the Giants, Barkley just couldn’t seem to catch a break when it came to them Cowboys. Yessiree, he played 6 seasons with the Giants, from 2018 all the way to 2023, and guess what? They only beat the Cowboys once. Just once! That’s a tough pill to swallow, ain’t it? And that win, it wasn’t even in the middle of the season, nope, it was right at the end of 2020, when the season was already near done. That was it, folks, just one measly win over them Cowboys.
Now, some folks might say, well, it ain’t all on Barkley. After all, football’s a team game, right? But still, it’s hard not to notice how them Cowboys always seem to have his number. Whether he was runnin’ the ball or tryin’ to catch it, every time they played, them Cowboys seemed to have a way of slowin’ him down. Whether they was home or away, it just wasn’t Barkley’s day when it came to Dallas.
It’s a real shame too, because Barkley, well, he’s a good runner. Ain’t no doubt about that. He got them legs like a workhorse, runnin’ all day if you let him. Back in the day, in 2020, he had a big ol’ run in the second half—116 yards total that day, includin’ a 59-yard dash that really got the crowd excited. But somehow, them Cowboys just knew how to shut him down when it mattered.
But it ain’t just the games where he’s been doin’ battle with them Cowboys. If you been followin’ news, ya might’ve heard that this year, Barkley done moved on to them Philadelphia Eagles. Well, now he’s a member of the Eagles, and that’s a whole new chapter for him. But even there, them Cowboys ain’t lettin’ up. In a recent matchup, ol’ Barkley had a bit of trouble with his arm after a play in the first half, and folks started wonderin’ how he was gonna hold up against them tough teams like the Cowboys.
The thing is, Barkley ain’t givin’ up. No sir. He keeps pushin’, keeps runnin’, and keeps tryin’. He got them fans that still believe in him, and I reckon as long as he’s playin’, he ain’t gonna back down. So even if the Cowboys keep givin’ him a hard time, you can bet ol’ Saquon’s gonna keep comin’ back, ready to give it his all next time he faces them.
Now, I know some folks out there love talkin’ about stats and all that fancy talk, but what matters most is heart. And if you ask me, Barkley’s got plenty of that. He’s been fightin’ through injuries, through tough games, and through a lotta losses. But in the end, he just keeps on goin’. Maybe one day, he’ll get the win he’s been lookin’ for against them Cowboys. Who knows? Football’s funny like that. But for now, we just wait and see what happens next.
