So, I got into fantasy football, and I’ve gotta say, it’s been a wild ride. When I started, I didn’t know anything about it. There’s this thing called the IR spot. I was like, “What the heck is that?”
I started digging around. I read a bunch of stuff online, asked some friends who were into fantasy football, and even watched some YouTube videos about it. It was a bit of a learning curve, to be honest.
What is IR spot?
The IR spot is basically a place where you can put a player on your fantasy team who’s injured in real life. At first, I thought it was just for players with season-ending injuries, but I was wrong.
- Figured out that you can put players who are on the real-life IR list there, obviously.
- Learned that some leagues let you put players who are just “out” or even “doubtful” in the IR spot.
- Realized that once you put a player in the IR spot, you can pick up a free agent to replace them on your roster.
I started using the IR spot strategically. Let’s say one of my star players got hurt. Instead of dropping him and losing him for good, I could stash him in the IR spot. Then, I could pick up another player who might be able to fill in for a few weeks. It’s like having an extra bench spot, but only for injured players.
It is a great strategy for a fantasy football team. I am so happy that I know that, and I can use this strategy. What a great day!
I just wanna say, it’s been a fun learning experience. I am still learning, but I think I improved a lot. I hope my sharing can help some other newbies.
