Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Lady Stewart” drink pop up all over my social media feeds, and it looked interesting, so I figured, why not give it a shot? I love trying new things, and this one seemed pretty straightforward.

Gathering My Stuff
First things first, I needed to figure out what the heck was even in this thing. After a bit of searching around on a few recipe sites , I found a general consensus. Most of them called for similar ingredients, so I made a quick list:
- Some black tea, because you know, it is a tea cocktail.
- Whiskey, and it looks like any kind would do.
- Drambuie, Never heard of this before!.
- Lemon, for a bit of zest.
- And some simple syrup, I guess for that sweetness.
Brew Time!
I started by brewing a strong cup of black tea. I just used a regular tea bag, nothing fancy. I let it steep for a good five minutes, I wanted that tea flavor to really come through.
Mixing it up
While the tea was still hot, I poured it into a shaker, I do not have the shaker so used my own bottle. And I added a shot of whiskey that my husband left, I think it was a bit more than a shot actually. I love the taste!. Then came the Drambuie – I used the same, maybe a shot, maybe a little more. Honestly, I just eyeballed it, no exact measuring here. Then in went the simple syrup , about half a shot I am not very fond of sweet, followed by a good squeeze of lemon juice.
Shake, Shake, Shake!
I added some ice to my bottle, closed the lid tight, and shook it like crazy for a good 30 seconds. I wanted it to be super cold and a bit frothy.
The Final Result
I strained the mixture into a glass(using the normal kitchen tool, not professional at all!), I think it is the glass my husband used for beer, and…wow! It was actually pretty good! The tea and whiskey worked surprisingly well together, and the Drambuie added this nice, subtle sweetness. The lemon kept it from being too heavy.
It’s definitely something I’d make again, especially for a relaxing evening. It felt pretty fancy, even though I just threw it together with what I had around the house. Give it a try. I think you will love it!
