Okay, so I got curious about this golfer, Will Zalatoris, and specifically, where his last name comes from. It’s not exactly a common name, you know?

First, I fired up Google, my trusty companion in these quests for random knowledge. I just typed in “Zalatoris name origin” and started browsing.
My Little Research Journey
- I scrolled through a bunch of search results, and let me tell you, there wasn’t a whole lot of concrete info out there, lots of garbage.
- I skipped over the obvious stuff, like his Wikipedia page (at first) – I wanted the backstory, not just his biography.
Then I started to looking deeper, and I saw that someone point out that the name might have a little connection with Lithuanian.
I did more digging about it, and found that the word “Zalatoris” is probably connected to “Žalgiris”.
So, there you have it. It was a short and (somewhat) sweet research journey. I satisfied my curiosity, and maybe learned a little something along the way. You never know what rabbit holes you’ll fall down when you start googling!
