Okay, so I’ve been hooked on Monopoly Go lately, and I saw this “Reindeer Galop” thing pop up. Honestly, I had no clue what it was at first, but it sounded Christmassy, so I was in. Figured I’d share my experience, ’cause why not?
Getting Started
First thing I did was, obviously, open the app. I noticed a new banner for the Reindeer Galop event. It had a cute reindeer animation and everything. I tapped on it, and it took me to this leaderboard thing. Seemed like a competition, collect points, get rewards. I’m all about free dice rolls, so I was down to try.
Collecting Those Points
The game told me I needed to land on specific tiles to earn points. I think they were the Chance, Community Chest, and Railroad tiles. Pretty standard stuff, really. So, I just started rolling, hoping for the best. I got lucky a few times and landed on those tiles pretty quickly. Each time, I got a little pop-up showing my points going up. Felt good, man.
- Chance Tile – Got some!
- Community Chest – A few more!
- Railroad – Jackpot! (Well, not really, but it gave the most points).
The Grind is Real
After a while, it became a bit of a grind. Just rolling, hoping to land on the right spots. I burned through a bunch of dice rolls without getting anything. It’s all random, I guess. I even tried that airplane mode trick I saw someone mention online, but I’m not sure if it helped or not. I’m kinda skeptical about those things.
Checking the Leaderboard
I kept checking the leaderboard to see where I stood. At first, I was doing okay, climbing up the ranks. But then, other players started pulling ahead. It’s competitive, I tell ya! Some people must be spending serious dice (or real money, who knows) to get those high scores.
Reaping the Rewards (or not)
I played for a few hours, off and on. In the end, I managed to snag some rewards. Nothing amazing, but hey, free dice are free dice, and a little bit of Monopoly money. I didn’t reach the top of the leaderboard, not even close. But, it was still kinda fun, gave me something to do while rolling.
Will i do it again? Maybe for the new event that I find interesting.
