Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Honkai Star Rail lately, and with Firefly on the horizon, I knew I had to get my pre-farming game on point. I figured I’d share my journey, bumps and all, in case it helps any fellow Trailblazers out there.
Getting Started: The Checklist
First things first, I needed a plan. I scoured the internet, watched some videos, and basically turned into a human sponge absorbing all things Firefly. I made a list – gotta love a good list – of everything I thought I’d need. This included:
- Ascension Materials: Those weird robot parts and, of course, credits. Lots and lots of credits.
- Trace Materials: The stuff to level up her skills. Seemed like a mountain of books and more of those robot bits.
- Relics: I had a vague idea of what stats I wanted, but figuring out the best set was a whole other headache.
- Light Cones: I had a few options, but wanted to see if I could snag something better before she dropped.
The Grind Begins: Robot Mayhem
I started with the ascension materials. Man, those robots in the Simulated Universe are annoying. I spent hours battling them, over and over. My team wasn’t exactly optimized, so it was a bit of a struggle. I definitely learned the hard way which enemies to avoid and which ones were (relatively) easy pickings. The worst part? Running out of Trailblaze Power. The wait was killer!
While I was waiting for my Trailblaze Power to recharge, I tackled the Trace materials. These were a little less painful, since I could auto-battle some of the Calyxes. Still, it felt like it took forever to get enough of the higher-level materials. I swear, I was seeing those books in my sleep.
Relic RNG: A Love-Hate Relationship
Then came the Relics. Oh boy. This is where the real frustration began. I knew I wanted specific stats, like ATK% and Break Effect, but getting the right pieces with the right main stats and sub-stats? Forget about it. I spent countless hours and a ton of fuel running the same Caverns of Corrosion. I got some decent pieces, but nothing perfect. I started to question my sanity. I kept at it and found at least 2 pieces with stats that matched what is recommended for her.
Light Cone Luck (Finally!)
I did get a bit of a lucky break with Light Cones. I managed to pull something pretty good from the gacha, which saved me from having to rely on a completely free-to-play option. It wasn’t her signature Light Cone, but it was definitely a step up. Small victories, right?
The Final Stretch: Still Grinding
As of right now, I’m still not completely done. I’m still farming those darn Relics, hoping for a miracle. But I’m feeling pretty good about where I’m at. I’ve got a solid stockpile of materials, a decent Light Cone, and a team that’s ready to welcome Firefly with open arms. I have enough materials to at least immediately bring Firefly up to a decent level, and now I wait.
All in all, it’s been a long, sometimes tedious, process. But hey, that’s the gacha life, right? I hope this little chronicle of my pre-farming adventure helps someone out there. Good luck, and may your Relic rolls be ever in your favor!
