Okay, so I’ve been seeing this Dustin Poirier hot sauce everywhere, and I finally caved. I’m a sucker for a good hot sauce, and, you know, I’m a bit of a UFC fan, so I figured, why not? Let’s give this a try.

The Hunt
First, I tried to find it locally. I hit up a couple of grocery stores – nothing. Then I checked out a specialty food store that usually has all sorts of crazy stuff. Still no luck.
Online Ordering
Fine, I gave in and went online. It was pretty easy to find, which was a relief. I was a little worried it would be some super-limited-edition thing that I’d have to fight tooth and nail for, but nope, plenty available. I placed my order, and the waiting game began.
The Arrival
A few days later, it showed up! I was pretty excited, I have to admit. It was packaged well, no leaks or anything, which is always a good sign. I unscrewed the cap and immediately took a whiff. It had a nice, vinegar-y smell, with a definite kick of something spicy. Promising!
The Taste Test
I decided to try it out on some simple scrambled eggs. I figured that would be a good baseline – nothing too overpowering to mask the flavor of the sauce. I drizzled a little bit on, not too much, just to get a feel for it.
First impression? Definitely some heat! It’s not going to blow your head off, but it’s got a solid kick. I liked the flavor – it’s got that classic Louisiana-style thing going on, with a bit of sweetness and a nice tang from the vinegar.
Experimenting
Since then, I’ve put it on all sorts of stuff:
- Tacos: Awesome. Added a great layer of flavor and heat.
- Pizza: Surprisingly good! Gave it a nice little zing.
- Chicken wings: Classic combo. This sauce was MADE for wings.
- Bloody Mary: Just add it, a few drops makes a perfect taste.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m definitely a fan. It’s not the hottest sauce I’ve ever had, but it’s got a great balance of flavor and heat. I can see why Dustin Poirier put his name on it – it’s a solid product. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
