Alright, so I’ve been grinding a ton of Apex Legends Season 22, and I wanted to share my experiences with different team comps. I’m no pro, but I’ve definitely seen what works and what really doesn’t.

First, I jumped into a bunch of games with randoms. You know how it is – sometimes you get a god-tier squad, other times… well, let’s just say it’s a quick trip back to the lobby. I started noticing patterns, though. Certain Legend combinations just felt stronger.
Experimenting with Comps
Then, I got my buddies together, and we decided to get a little more scientific about it. We started by trying the “meta” comps, you know, the ones everyone online raves about. The ones the pro gamers use all the time. Sometimes we get good result, other times, not that satisfying.
- Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Fuse: The idea here is smoke ’em out, scan ’em, and then rain explosives. It worked… okay. It was heavily dependent that we play very aggressive. We got some good wins when we could force teams into tight spaces.
- Horizon, Valkyrie, and Seer: This one was all about mobility and intel. Valkyrie gets you to high ground, Horizon lifts everyone up, and Seer… well, he sees everything. We are always one step ahead of the other teams. This comp was super fun, but we struggled against teams that could lock down areas.
- Catalyst, Caustic and Rampart: OK, with this one, we locked down some areas. It was a tough time for other teams to get past us.
My “Secret Sauce” Comp
After a lot of trial and error, we actually found a comp that’s been working really well for us, and it’s a little off-meta:
- Lifeline: Her healing drone is clutch in those mid-fight situations.
- Wraith: Her portal is still amazing for aggressive pushes or quick escapes.
- Octane: I play Octane, and while some say he is not that useful, the stim speed and ability to quickly charge in really help a lot.
This might not seem like the “best” comp on paper, but it really clicked with our playstyle. We’re all pretty aggressive players, so the speed and repositioning from Wraith and Octane, combined with Lifeline’s ability to keep us patched up, has been surprisingly effective.
The point is, don’t be afraid to experiment! What works for the pros might not work for you. Find what clicks with your squad, and most importantly, have fun!
