Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole 6’6″ NBA players thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a rabbit hole! I started out just curious, you know? Like, who are these guys? Are they all guards? What’s the deal?

The Initial Search
First, I fired up Google. Just a simple search: “6’6 nba players”. I figured that would give me a decent starting point. And yeah, it did! I got a bunch of lists from different websites, some with current players, some with historical ones. It was a bit overwhelming, honestly.
Getting Organized
So, I decided I needed a better way to keep track of all this info. I opened up a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just something to jot down names, positions, and maybe a couple of notes. I started copying and pasting names from the different lists I found.
Sorting Through the Data
- I noticed a lot of guards, as expected. Shooting guards, point guards, the whole shebang.
- But there were also a surprising number of small forwards. Guys who could handle the ball but also bang down low a bit.
- I even found a few power forwards who were listed at 6’6″, which was kinda interesting.
Deeper Dive
Then, I started looking up individual players. I wanted to see their stats, their playing styles, how long they’d been in the league, that kind of stuff. I spent a good chunk of time just clicking through player profiles, watching highlights, and reading articles.
My Findings (So Far!)
It is still a work process. It’s clear that 6’6″ is a pretty versatile height in the NBA. You’ve got your speedy guards, your all-around forwards, and even some guys who can play bigger than their listed height. It is an interesting group for sure. I also found some interesting players.
I’m still working on compiling all my notes, but I think I’m getting a pretty good handle on the 6’6″ landscape in the NBA.
