Alright, guys, so I wanted to tackle the “Vitamins Part 1” task in Escape from Tarkov. I’ve heard it can be a real pain, so I figured I’d document my journey and maybe help some of you out.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out exactly what the quest required. Checked the wiki, and yep, it’s all about finding two items: the 6-STEN-140-M military battery and that super rare Car Battery. Great, just great.
The Hunt Begins
I knew the military battery was mostly found on Reserve, so I loaded in. Geared up, not too heavy, but enough to hold my own against scavs and maybe a player or two. My heart was already pounding, thinking about those juicy loot spawns and potential firefights.
- First few raids: Zilch. Nada. Checked all the usual spots – the bunker, the garages, even those risky open areas. Nothing. Started to feel that familiar Tarkov frustration creeping in.
- Got lucky! Found the military battery! It was tucked away in a corner of the bunker, behind some crates. I almost missed it! Snagged it, and immediately started planning my exfil. I’m not usually this lucky.
The Car Battery Struggle
Now, the Car Battery. This thing is a legend for being a pain to find. I’ve heard stories of people spending days searching for it. I switched to Interchange, figuring that’s where I’d have the best chance, lots of stashes, cars and shelves.
- Interchange Runs: So many raids. So many close calls. I found some good loot, sure, but no battery. Scavs were a constant threat, and I even ran into a few geared players. Managed to survive, but still no battery, I start feeling hopeless and frustrated.
- Persistence is the Key! I’m not giving up. I checked every toolbox, every shelf, every hidden corner I could find. Finally, after what felt like a million raids, there it was! In a random toolbox. I couldn’t believe it.
Extraction Time
With both items in my secure container, I was one nervous dude. I’d found a virtex in a previous raid in a stash and died to a scav army shortly after, this time I play it safe. I took the safest route I could think of, avoiding any hotspots. Sweating bullets the whole way. Made it to the extract with both items. What a rush!
Mission Accomplished!
Back at the stash, I turned in the quest. Felt amazing. It was a grind, for sure, but totally worth it. I can finally put that quest behind me, and I’m ready for the next challenge. Hope this helps anyone else struggling with this one!
