Okay, so I’ve been getting really into football lately, and the Boca Juniors vs. River Plate match is HUGE. It’s like, the biggest rivalry in Argentina, maybe even the world! So, I wanted to try my hand at predicting the score, just for fun. I’m no expert, but I did some digging.
First, I looked at some recent results. Just saw some predictions online. They are usually pretty interesting to see, but, you know, they aren’t always right. One I saw was this:
- Result: Boca Juniors to win
- Total Goals: Over 2.5
- Boca Juniors to score first: Yes
- River Plate to score : Yes
I kind of agree with most of it, the teams are pretty evenly matched right, but history usually showed Boca Juniors at a slight advantage, I guess? I also felt like it would be a high-scoring game, because, you know, it’s such a heated rivalry. Both teams always bring their A-game.
My Process (If You Can Call It That)
I started thinking, what’s my gut feeling? And I kept coming back to Boca Juniors winning, but maybe it wouldn’t be a blowout. I get the over 2.5 goals thing. These games are usually crazy intense.
I also, started that Boca to score first. It just felt…right. They have this home-field energy thing going on. And yes to River Plate also score, because they are good.
So, after all my “research” (aka, reading some stuff online and going with my gut), I decided on a prediction. I went with Boca Juniors winning * felt like a believable scoreline, given everything.
I wrote down my prediction, 2-1 win to Boca Juniors, and now I’m just waiting for the game! It’s going to be a fun, hope I am right!
