Okay, so the other day I was having this big debate with a buddy of mine about NFL wide receivers. We were going back and forth about who’s the best, who’s the fastest, you know, the usual stuff. Then D.K. Metcalf came up, and I realized I couldn’t remember exactly when he was drafted. I knew it was fairly recent, but the specific year slipped my mind.

So, first thing I did was, I grabbed my phone. No way I was going to lose this argument because of a simple memory lapse! I opened up my browser – you know, the usual one everyone uses – and typed in “when was D.K. Metcalf drafted”. I hit enter, and boom, a whole bunch of results popped up.
My Process
- Opened up my browser
- typed “when was D.K. Metcalf drafted” in the search bar
- Hit the enter
I scrolled through the first few results. Honestly, most of them were just sports news sites and Wikipedia. Nothing I didn’t already kinda know. But then, I saw result that looks simple, and I gave it a read.
And there it was, plain as day. D.K. Metcalf was drafted in 2019. It was in the second round, 64th overall pick, by the Seattle Seahawks. I smiled, And I immediately shot a text to my friend: “2019, second round, 64th pick. Seahawks. Pay up!” (Okay, we didn’t actually bet any money, but you get the idea.)
It’s funny how these little things can bug you, right? I mean, I knew he was a relatively recent draft pick, but having that exact year and draft position just makes you feel… complete. Anyway, problem solved! Now, back to debating who’s better, Metcalf or Tyreek Hill… that’s a whole other can of worms!
