Okay, so I was trying to figure out this crossword clue, “diamond with gold and platinum,” and I was totally stumped. I mean, I know a bit about jewelry, but this was mixing metals and gemstones and… yeah, my brain was fried.
My First Attempts
First, I tried to think of actual jewelry pieces. You know, like:
- A diamond ring with a gold band? Nope, too obvious.
- Maybe some fancy necklace with platinum and diamonds? Still didn’t feel right.
I spent a good 20 minutes just staring at the clue, hoping something would magically pop into my head. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.
Getting Some Help
So, I decided to swallow my pride and ask my wife. She’s way better at these word puzzles than I am. She took one look and started giggling. “It’s a baseball diamond, silly!” she said.
