Alright, so I got curious about Conor McGregor’s whiskey, Proper No. Twelve. I’d seen it everywhere, and, you know, being a bit of a McGregor fan, I figured I’d give it a shot. No pun intended… well, maybe a little.

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I needed to find a bottle. I checked my usual liquor store, but no luck. They had plenty of other stuff, but no Proper Twelve. So, I hit up a couple more stores in the area. Still nothing! I was starting to think this stuff was rarer than a McGregor apology.
Success… Kind Of
Finally, I found it at a bigger store a bit further out. They had a whole display set up. I grabbed a bottle, feeling pretty victorious. I mean, half the battle is just finding the stuff you want, right?
The Taste Test
Okay, so later that night, I cracked it open. I poured myself a glass, neat, just to get the full, unadulterated flavor. I swirled it around a bit, pretending I knew what I was doing.
My first thought is it has a strong smell, so I took a sip.
- First impression: it taste smooth.
- Second impression: maybe too smooth?
I added a couple of ice cubes. That definitely opened it up a bit. I got more of those vanilla and honey notes. It made more tasting.
The Verdict
Honestly, it’s good whiskey. It’s easy to drink, it’s got a decent flavor, and it’s not gonna break the bank. Would I buy it again? Yeah, probably. I’ll keep on hand to drink with my friends.
