Alright, so I wanted to get a good look at how the Lakers are shaping up for the next season, you know, really see who’s playing where and how the team is stacked. So I decided to put together a depth chart. Here’s how I did it.
First, I started by listing out all the players. I mean, you gotta know who you’re working with, right? So I went to the official Lakers website, and some other sports sites i trusted, to make sure I got everyone. I wrote down all the names on a piece of paper.
Gathering The Players
I listed every player i acknowledged who would play for the Lakers.
- LeBron James
- Anthony Davis
- D’Angelo Russell
Next, I needed to figure out everyone’s primary position. This was pretty straightforward for most guys. Like, LeBron, obviously, is a forward. But some players can play multiple positions, which is where it gets a little tricky.
I started putting players into their main spots – Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, Power Forward, and Center. I used different sources to double-check, because sometimes one site might list a guy at a different position than another.
Then came the fun part (well, fun for a basketball nerd like me) – figuring out the second and third strings. This is where the “depth” in “depth chart” really comes in. It’s not just about the starters, but who’s backing them up, and who’s backing them up.
I started thinking about how the coach might actually use the players. Who plays well together? Who’s good at coming off the bench? Who can fill in if someone gets injured? It’s like a puzzle, trying to fit all the pieces together.
After spending my time, I finally got the Lakers depth chart i wanted!.
It felt great seeing the whole thing laid out. It gives you a much better sense of the team’s strengths and weaknesses, and how they might fare against other teams. It is a good start point of researching the team.
