Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into FIFA 23 lately, and one player that’s really caught my eye is Gonçalo Ramos. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I decided to really put him to the test.

Getting Started
First, I jumped into a few regular Kick Off matches just to get a feel for him. I played a couple of games with Portugal, trying him out as the main striker. Straight away, I noticed his positioning was pretty good. He was always making these runs, finding space. It wasn’t anything crazy, just solid positioning, you know?
Career Mode Deep Dive
Then, I really got into it. I started a new Career Mode save with Benfica, figuring that’d be the best way to really see what Ramos could do over time. I wanted to see how he’d develop, how his stats would improve.
- First few seasons, he was decent, scoring goals, but not like, a world-beater.
- I made sure to focus on training drills that boosted his shooting and pace. It is important.
- I focused on play him whenever possible.
The Breakthrough
And then, boom! Around the third season, he just exploded. His finishing became lethal, his pace was incredible, and he was just banging in goals from everywhere. Seriously, he was unstoppable. I remember one game, he scored four goals – two headers, a volley, and a cheeky chip over the keeper. It was insane!
Experimenting with Formations
I experimented with different formations, too. He worked great as a lone striker, but I also tried him in a two-striker setup, and he was just as good. It is interesting to do so. He seemed to link up really well with other players, making these clever little passes and setting up chances.
Final Thoughts
So yeah, after all that, I’m totally sold on Gonçalo Ramos in FIFA 23. He might not be the flashiest player at first, but give him some time, focus on his development, and he turns into an absolute beast. He’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a young, promising striker for your team. At least I get the result I want.
