Okay, so I’ve been seeing this question pop up everywhere: “Will Colin Kaepernick ever play again?” It’s a loaded question, and I wanted to dig into it myself, not just read opinions online. So, I started my own little investigation.

My Deep Dive into the Kaepernick Question
First, I watched a bunch of old games. I mean, a lot of games. I wanted to see Kaepernick in his prime, not just the highlights everyone shows. I focused on his mechanics, his decision-making, his ability to read defenses – the whole nine yards.
- I started with his 2012-2013 season, the Super Bowl year. Man, that guy was electric!
- Then, I moved through the following seasons, paying close attention to any changes in his play.
- I even watched some of his pre-season games after 2016, just to see if there was any footage of him playing.
Next, I scoured the internet for articles, interviews, anything I could find. Not just the mainstream stuff, but also the smaller blogs, the podcasts, the fan forums. I wanted every perspective possible.I filter those opinions.
Then, I tried to get a sense of the NFL landscape. What teams needed quarterbacks? What were the coaches and owners saying (or not saying)? What was the general feeling around the league? This was trickier, of * is so hard.
After all that, I formed my own, admittedly very amateur, opinion. It’s not a prediction, just my gut feeling based on what I saw and read.Could he phisically play? Probably. His skills back then looked solid, and from what little I’ve seen, he’s stayed in shape.I guess maybe he can play again.I don’t know!
It’s a complex situation, and this is just my take after spending a few days diving deep.
