Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “all-star rings” all over TikTok and Instagram, and I finally caved and decided to make my own. Gotta admit, they looked pretty cool, and I wanted to see if I could actually pull it off.

First things first, I needed supplies. I hit up the local craft store – you know, the one with all the beads and glitter and stuff. I grabbed:
- Some colorful seed beads. I went with a rainbow mix because, why not?
- Stretchy string. This is important! You want your ring to, you know, fit.
- A beading needle. These things are tiny, so the needle helps.
- Scissors. Obviously.
I got home, spread everything out on my kitchen table, and put on some music. Time to get crafty!
The Process
I watched like, five different tutorials online before I even started. Everyone seemed to have a slightly different method, but I kind of mashed them all together.
First step, cut a length of the stretchy string. Make it longer than you think you need, It’s easier to trim it later.
I thread this on the needle to help me put on the first small seed bead.
I started by stringing on a bunch of beads – enough to go about halfway around my finger. I didn’t really count, just eyeballed it.
Then, the tricky part: making the “star.” I picked out five beads in a contrasting color (I used white). I strung them onto the string, then looped the string back through the first white bead. This creates a little loop, or point, of the star.

Then I repeated that four more times, going back through the same “base” bead each time. It took a few tries to get it looking right, not gonna lie. My first attempt looked more like a blob than a star.
Once the star was done, I continued stringing on the regular beads until it was long enough to go all the way around my finger.
The final step was tying it off. I made a double knot, then trimmed the excess string. I even added a tiny drop of glue to the knot, just to be extra sure it wouldn’t come undone.
And… that’s it! My very own all-star ring. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of it. I might even make a few more in different colors. It’s kind of addictive!
