Alright, let’s talk about Onikabuto locations. I spent a good chunk of my weekend hunting these little critters down, and I figured I’d share what I learned. No fancy stuff, just straight-up where I found them and how I got there.

First off, why bother? Well, if you’re like me and you’re trying to level up certain characters, you’re gonna need these Onikabuto. They’re a pain to find, but gotta do what you gotta do, right?
Where I Actually Found Them (The Goods)
- Inazuma City: Started here. There’s a tree right near the Adventurer’s Guild. Climbed up, and boom, two Onikabuto chilling there. Easy peasy.
- Mt. Yougou: Okay, this place is crawling with them. Teleported to the Grand Narukami Shrine, then glide down towards the Mikage Furnace area. Check the trees around the perimeter. Found a bunch there.
- Kannazuka: Specifically, the Mikage Furnace area. This place is kinda grim, but worth it. Look around the big structures, the trees, and even the cliff faces. They blend in, so keep your eyes peeled.
- Yashiori Island: Serpent’s Head area. This place is dark and stormy, which kinda fits the Onikabuto vibe, I guess. Check the skulls and rocky areas. They seem to like hanging out there.
- Tatarasuna: This whole area is a goldmine. It’s a bit spread out, but there are Onikabuto on the trees, inside the abandoned buildings, pretty much everywhere if you look hard enough. Used the Electrogranum to get around some of the barriers.
My Hunting Strategy (Not Rocket Science)
Okay, so here’s what I did, step-by-step:
- Marked the Spots: First thing I did was pull up an interactive map online (you know the ones). Marked all the potential Onikabuto locations.
- Teleport & Scan: Teleported to the nearest waypoint to each location. Used my elemental sight a lot, but honestly, it doesn’t always help. Mostly, it’s just about looking closely.
- Climb Everything: If there was a tree, I climbed it. If there was a rock, I climbed it. These things like to hide in high places, so get vertical.
- Circle Back: After hitting all the marked spots in one area, I’d move on to the next. Apparently, they respawn after a bit, so circling back is worth it if you’re really desperate.
- Patience is Key: Seriously, don’t get discouraged if you don’t find them right away. Just keep looking. I almost gave up a couple of times, but then I’d find a whole cluster of them.
Pro Tip: Some people say it helps to switch your in-game time to night. I didn’t notice a huge difference, but it might be worth a try. Also, bring a character with a passive talent that highlights local specialties on the map. It might help, but don’t count on it.
Overall, finding Onikabuto is tedious but necessary. Just take your time, be thorough, and you’ll eventually get what you need. Good luck, and happy hunting!
